Sellers guide
At The Hardy Estate, we offer a distinguished and diverse collection of historical and contemporary artworks through our private art curation service and public auctions. Our extensive network of collectors, as well as a global audience of potential buyers, have the opportunity to explore and acquire these exceptional artworks. Each auction or private sale creates a meaningful connection between artists, existing collectors, and a receptive audience passionate about art.

We uphold a straightforward and transparent fee structure that benefits both sellers and buyers. Sellers have the autonomy to set reserve prices for their artworks, while our commissions never exceed 25%. We prioritise fairness by eliminating additional fees such as listing fees, registration fees, or promotional fees. Our aim is to empower sellers, ensuring they receive the maximum value for their items while keeping costs and complexities to a minimum.

To maintain our standards of quality and authenticity, we have certain requirements for accepting new listings. We ask for comprehensive product information, including dimensions, a detailed condition review, artist/designer details, and a sales history if available. Depending on the location of the artworks, we may request a physical viewing. It would be helpful to include a reserve figure for each piece that you hope to receive at auction or through private sale. Regrettably, we cannot list broken or highly damaged pieces, nor pieces lacking official authentication approval.
